That depends on where you live.  There are many Linux User Groups that have
monthly meetings and its members would love to share their knowledge with
you.  Ubuntu users are scattered throughout Australia with concentrations in
the cities.  There is a lot of help available on line in the Ubuntu Forum.
Installation is generally quite easy - put the disc in the drive and
reboot.  Some things may need to be reconfigured.

Depends on what programmes you want to run.  There are several ways of
making programmes written for Windows run in Ubuntu.
You need to spell out what kind of computer you have, which version of
Ubuntu you would like to use and which Windows programmes you cannot live
without.
