Hi

I have a similar problem with using apt or synaptic but not with web
browsing.  Its probably related to my ADSL broadband providing dchp.

I manually change my /etc/resolve.conf file to have the DNS servers of
my ISP listed as it only has the modem/router address listed.  As this
gets overwritten regularly I have to keep checking.  I haven't had the
time to get a more permanent fix but this works.
