RX530 - Slides

To get the RX530 working,

1. Add these 2 lines to /etc/udev/rules.d/45-libsane.rules

SYSFS{idVendor}=="04b8", SYSFS{idProduct}=="081a", MODE="664", GROUP="scanner"


2. Install the libsane-extras package

3.a Disable epson in the /etc/sane/dll.conf file and add epkowa

3.b add the usb bus id (run lsusb) to /etc/sane/extras/epkowa.conf (i
think thats the location)

4. Grab http://lx1.avasys.jp/iscan/2.6.0/iscan-2.6.0-0.c2.i386.rpm

5. Install the alien package then run 'sudo alien iscan-2.6.0-0.c2.i386.rpm'

6. You should have the iscan program installed. Now just make a
launcher for it and off you go! (I think.)
