I should clarify.  I have only had upgraded versions of the 2.6.20-16
kernel pushed out.  Not a new kernel per se.  It busted me up anyway

I found when I was using the Australian mirrors for the Software
Update stuff, I wouldn't get updates, where as my laptop was using the
main repo's and would get updates all the time.  Perhaps this is the
same deal with you?!
