Maybe some complaints emails sent to optus and sf.net might get the boot
applied to the right part of Optus' anatomy. My understanding is that
the optus sf.net mirror is the default for quite a large part of the
Asia Pacific region. I don't think sf.net would be too impressed with
the situation.
I know Optus "donates" these services, but for them it is purely a
marketing exercise. They don't do it as some deep philosophical
statement of support for FLOSS.
