spell check

hi all
 I've  been trying to get the spellcheck to work in OO 2.2 Im using
fiesty.
Ive read numerous forums on this and tried many of the solutions but
have had no Luck. I think im missng something simple maybe.
when i click on the spellcheck it comes start from begining of doc I
click yes and it says "no error" but there are plenty.
It seems as though the dictionary is not being recognised. 
would apreciate any help
