i installed picasa on edgy sometime back - was simple easy and trouble free to 
install - even worked! - looked nice too - thought id make it my 
household 'photo gallery thingo' of choice, in  practice though I never end 
up using any photo gallery toolage, both nautilus and konqueror seem useful 
enough and I just fall back to path of least resistance
