Do you have, or could you get, a list of laptop models and hardware
that you have issues with... (particularly if you bought the machines
in Australia)
Unless you've already done it, there are pages on the Ubuntu Wiki
where you can list your laptop and the issues that are still
outstanding. There are also help instructions on how to test a laptop
with Ubuntu.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupportMachinesLaptops
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTesting
There is also the 'hwdb-gui' tool which you can use to automatically
report hardware issues for Ubuntu developers if you connected to the
internet.
Every little bit of information helps make Ubuntu better for everyone.
