I have been looking at this further. I am confident I will be doing
the install sometime before next weekend now I have checkdisked and
defragged my machine to hell and back and have everything in nice
order.
I played with the Dapper live CD some more last night and was so glad
to see I could get my BT mouse working in a matter of two commands.
And Firefox seems so much faster than back in Breezy.
One thing I didn't like is it seems that NetworkManager has been
removed since I played with one of the Flight version (Flight 5 from
memory). I will be loading that when I do install.
Another thing I found annoying was that I don't seem to be able to
select 1200x800 as my resolution and looking at the Internet didn't
seem to provide me with too many hints. Is this merely a problem
because I was running the live CD? Would it be easy to fix once I do
have it installed proper? FTR, I am using a Toshiba M40/K00 laptop,
with an nVidia GeForce Go 6600.
Anyways, thought I would ask those questions...
Cheers,
Whytey
