Doing the Dapper upgrade reverted by mythTV

Hi There,
Sorry to be hassling the list again about such simple problems. As
you may have gathered I have an Ubuntu Breezy server which I use as a
mythTV backend. Since I made the switch to Ubuntu, I have had a
'mirror' installation of my server running within VMware on my laptop
which I use to 'test' any playing I do (to prevent any downtime).
On the weekend, I decided to test doing a Dapper update using the
Update Manager on the VMware version and found that everything went
pretty much fine, however, my mythTV was downgraded from the
unofficial 0.19-fixes packages to 0.18.1 Ubuntu universe packages.
Who know what this would do to a live DB, but it wouldn't be good.
When I checked the list of repositories in Synaptic, the third party
location I initially used to install mythTV 0.19-fixes no longer
exists, which makes me think one of two things happened:
1) I had previously removed the third party repo from Synaptic, which
meant that the upgrader needed to install some version of mythTV for
Dapper so had to use the 'official' universe ones.
2) The upgrade removed the third party repo from Synaptic and did a bad thing!
I am just wandering what the best way forward is for upgrading my real
server. Should I add a Dapper repo for mythTV 0.19 before doing the
upgrade, or just hope for the best (with a backup of the DB of
course)? I guess I need to check the version that I have installed is
compatible with mysql5, since I don't think mythTV used to be.
Anyways, any input is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Whytey
