How to connect to bigpond?

Hi Ubuntus,

I have successfully installed Ubuntu.
Can I browse the Internet from Ubuntu?
Can I send and receive emails?
I have a bigpond account, which works with Windows XP.
Telstra gave me an installation CD for Windows.
Do I need an installation CD for Ubuntu?

Please, help...
is there any help online?
