Official Australian Ubuntu "apt" Mirror ?

This explains why my speeds dropped from 750k/sec (straight via WAIX
over my 8mbit DSL connection) to a poor 120k/sec a few weeks ago.

You can point your repos to http://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/ubuntu and there
is a full mirror here that is kept fairly up to date.

Cheers
Blake

I don't think there was any kind of official announcement, but I did
hear that the server at UWA ran out of disk space, couldn't carry the
entire mirror any more (as well as all the Debian stuff they have) so
they arranged with Canonical for the DNS record to be changed away.

I'd meant to find out more about it a month ago and inform the list, my
apologies folks.

Andrew.
