Hey everyone,

Sorry for taking so long to reply.

The project started mid 2005 and has proved very successful. Students who
are interested just contact us requesting a copy and what system they would
like (i386/ppc/64).

We also run a computer recycling project in our community/student body. It
is mainly aimed at students who can not afford a pc. We receive donations of
pcs & parts and we make up pcs to give to students for free with everything
they need to study. We use Ubuntu for this because it comes with everything
the students need.

We have also expanded our project to help with occupational therapy in
nursing homes and expanded to help local school students.

We get the cds shipped from Ubuntu's Ship it program at the moment, but this
takes some time and we have yet to receive the Dapper. We also burn cds
ourselves when we run out.

We are encouraging our local library to keep copies of Ubuntu on their
shelves, our library has 20,000 patrons and is linked to the state wide
system for Inter-Library Loans in WA

All of the PCs that we use for admin at our Union also run Ubuntu

Let me know if you would like any more info :D
