[ubuntu-art] Just joined

Just joined. Been an exclusive kubuntu user on the desktop/laptop since
Dapper. A huge fan of canonical and the efforts they've put into spreading
linux. Anyway, my platform preference for tablet/phone has been webos. I'm
sure the platform will be slaughtered due to mismanagement and I've been
lementing how I have no real option otherwise. I hate iOS and not a big fan
of android (to say nothing of blackberry). When Mark announced that ubuntu
was going to move into the tablet/phone/tv market, I got superexcited
because its a natural move. Also, it would tie together my other digital
uses. I'd love to have ubuntu on my touchpad.

I'd like to assist with the art side of things. I've done a bit of coding in
the past, but I'm more fluid with graphics than anything. The last few days,
I've been reading up on canonical standards and such but there's still
plenty for me to read.

My graphics experience is pretty limited to inkscape. It was the app I used
to design a coat of arms for a guild I joined in a MMO. I needed to learn
how to use inkscape, so the project made sense as a learning tool. I'm self
taught.

I desire to give back to the community (after so many years of being a user)
and would be honored to contribute.
