A couple of thoughts:

ubuntu needs the license to be cc-by-sa I think.
I reduced the noise levels, lens corrected the focal distance, normalized
the colors, tweaked the levels, rsynthesized the little black dot that was
distracting. Just made more sense to me aesthetically. Also cropped to the
wallpaper size. Attached.
