Disregarding that I don't like the heavy brown of the screenshot it is one
of the most interesting items I have seen on this list in a long while. It
contains some very cool elements that I feel the urge highlight :-)
* You hit the matte-and-not-glossy style spot on. Gotta love it.
* The very subtle texture on the background works very well. It gives to
the overall matte-feeling of the theme as well as making the buttons stand
out a tad more.
* The tiny shadow behind the buttons (and other widgets) really gives a
tangible feel to the theme. On hover this shadow turns into a glow - nice.
Afaik no ordinary theme engine can do this (ie pixmap only)..? I think that
Cimi mentioned that Aurora could this but it was a hack... Hmmm
* In addition to the vertical gradient present in many themes there is a
central horizontal gradient too. I think this also contributes to the matte
feeling.
* The danger of the very tangible buttons is that other ui elements may
seem dull in comparison. See for example the tabs which appear a bit flat.
Cheers,
Mikkel
