[ubuntu-art] 3d wallpapers

ello i am thinking of taking the ubuntu logo and
creating a 3d version of it for a wallpaper. i am new
to the ubuntu-art thing and i just wanted to know what
kind of this to look for/do. i also would like to know
more about what styles the new version of ubuntu is
going for.
