Hi, This is the first time I post here and I'm not used to this type of
forum interface, so forgive me if this post doesn't come out correctly
or conform to the standards of this mailing list.
I read the previous threads and comments about my theme "Shiki-Colors",
and I'm glad that the people here liked it, and may even consider it for
Ubuntu. Since I'm a heavy Ubuntu user/proposer myself, I thought I'd
modify my theme a bit to make it more conservative (friendlier to the
general user) and warmer (to better fit Ubuntu's look).
You can find a screenshot of the modified theme here (Using my
gnome-human icons):

The most noticeable changes are:
-Menus/Menubars are light. While this takes a bit away from the original
appeal of the theme, it is much more compatible and way less buggy with
non-gtk apps (firefox 3).
-Warmer bg colors.
-Metacity has been hacked a bit. It now has 2px borders (can be changed
to 3 or 4 if needed). The outline is still just 1px, but this makes it a
lot more comfortable to resize.
You can download the theme here (needs murrine SVN from intrepid to
render progressbars):

Other things that could be changed is making menu items/selected base
lighter, with dark text. I'll leave those changes up to the opinions I
receive. Also, I think I could improve the metacity titlebar further,
since it's no longer unified and doesn't need to blend in with the
menubar.
