Here you have an updated version on my first idea with the ubuntu font:

@Ken:

I know about the color palette and I understand that you want to stay 
with these colors but you have the same colors everywhere … it's some 
kind of boring (personal opinion)! A little contrast to the system 
colors would make the system more "fresh-looking". I think that we have 
to play with the colors to find the most exiting combination rather that 
hold to the default palette! Hope you understand my point of view ... I 
know it's not that easy because of my broken English ^^
