Whaaoo ! Got it ! That is so nice ! I set gdm background color to
#D9BB7A, that makes transitions smoother.

Why doesn't usplash wait for ready gdm prompt before switching to VT7 ?

I really think we are close to a very polish boot process. The silence
of the splash is so beautiful, peaceful.
