It depends. If you have a lot of tiny or sharp details, they will get
lost when downscaling. If you stick to the usual and typical type of
wallpaper that abstract ones usually sport, then there isn't much
that can get lost.
The only problem is if you downscale to disproportionate sizes, but I
guess we should, like we always have, just make a widescreen 16:10
version as well.
