[ubuntu-art] Nuak's Proposals

These ideas are nice, and it would be good to see them getting wider
discussion, but the most important thing is to ensure that we are
getting the right sorts of ideas at the right stage of the process.

I know everyone wants to jump to the END point, and see the final
finished goods. But right now we are trying to professionalise the
artwork by adopting professional design processes, under Troy's
leadership. Nuak and others will best get their ideas across if they
join in with those processes.

I would support Troy in saying that the focus of this cycle is partly on
the actual artwork, and partly on processes that will allow us to:

 (a) get diverse and interesting ideas proposed *early* in the cycle
 (b) let us build consensus on the "look for the release"
 (c) let us build teams that can then execute that look comprehensively
across the distro

Most of the focus on this list has been usplash, login, splash and
desktop. If we want to do this properly, though, we need to be able to
build a team that can take the agreed look and introduce it in
documentation, on the web site, across brochures used by Loco teams, etc.

So Nuak - chat with Troy and Frank about which elements of your design
you really want to see being part of a final picture!
