Simon,

I realized that there is an issue with my last upload:
 * the d/.install file is not good
 * I forgot to include a fix for the tests in d/tests

To catch these issues in the future:
 1. I made dh_auto_test run the unit tests as you suggested
 2. I created a new "smoke" test to make sure the service is correctly running when the package is installed.

I'm waiting for my PPA to build the package to run the autopkgtests and
verify that everything is good now.
