Thanks for the Discussion on IRC @mkukri !
Furthermore FO023 spec was helpful on the basic background.
This LGTM and TIL for sure.
But let us provide some confirmation and audit trail before removal.
You said @mwhudson confirmed that the now merged debian-cd [1] is now deployed and built without using the cd-boot-images-*.
I feel I should know about that, but I do not :-/
I fully agree and chime in to (I hope that resolving this means everyone can forget)

Before a removal, could we have that confirmation that this is active here - if possible with some link/state backing it up.
And if possible links to the builds that prove the new builds no more use them?
P.S. Curious If no one used the https://launchpad.net/debian-cd in the
archive as-is, should it be removed and only be used from the repo as
you seem to do on the cdimage build machines?
