Debian has dropped fltk1.1. It should also be dropped from noble, but
has vbaexpress as a reverse-dependency.
vbaexpress is currently at version 1.2-0ubuntu7. 1.2-0ubuntu1 was:
vbaexpress (1.2-0ubuntu1) dapper; urgency=low
* Initial release
* 01_MakefileFlags.dpatch: Use flags to build without FLU
* 02_desktop.dpatch: Update .desktop file with Free Desktop standards

There is a new 1.3 release upstream at
https://www.asher256.com/projects/vbaexpress/english.php ! And
astonishingly it seems to be from April 2023 based on timestamps in the
tarball. But no one has bothered packaging it.
Launching the vbaexpress program here on mantic, I get a dialog that
asks:
The file:
/home/vorlon/VisualBoyAdvance.cfg
is not exist. Do you want to create it?
- NO I don't want you to create a .cfg file in my home directory, what's wrong with you?
- this is not proper English
- no one has complained about this dialog since 2006
- so I conclude no one actually uses this package.
This package is a wrapper around vba. Installing that package, and
downloading a random .gba rom found on the Internet
(https://www.emulatorgames.net/download/?rom=pokemon-emerald-version),
and running vba with that file as an argument, I get a window that's all
white. So this program also doesn't work out of the box for me,
therefore I don't see any value in a frontend for it.
I think this package should be removed.
** Affects: vbaexpress (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
