Ack to all you reported.

The third libiw-dev bug, so the same reasoning as in bug 2072667 and bug
2070374 applies here as well.

Furthermore it is library only (it has no executables) without any
reverse dependencies itself is useless as it is not providing much (I
didn't find any external users on the internet).

Furthermore as you said openwlanmap.org does not exist anymore.
There are other similar services but none look directly related [1]. 

So yes, this is not helpful to be kept around.
