You have been subscribed to a public bug by Steve Langasek (vorlon):
The package fails to build on all architectures due to package rules attempting to access external network addresses:
------riscv--------------------------
warning: spurious network error (2 tries remaining): failed to resolve address for github.com: Name or service not known; class=Net (12)
--------------------------------------
----------amd64-----------------------
blhc: ignore-line-regexp: \ \ \ Compiling .*
# Don't do this at home, kids!
curl --cacert /etc/ssl/certs/Amazon_Root_CA_1.pem --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -f https://sh.rustup.rs > rustup.sh
--------------------------------------
Debian policy manual 4.9 states:
---------------------------------------
For packages in the main archive, required targets must not attempt network access, except, via the loopback interface,
to services on the build host that have been started by the build
---------------------------------------
This is non-free package and thus can violate this rule.
We can not build this package in Ubuntu.
This bug is closed in Debian as "wont fix"
