[Impact]
rtl8812au should be now properly supported upstream in recent kernels
(for example see the comment on this commit:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=e220332c3a1a26c3f2adc58984fb627728c2f8d2).
rtl8812au is always likely to break with new kernels, delaying their
release and there is no reason to keep maintaining this driver and
potentially slowing down the release of new kernels in Ubuntu.
Moreover this driver is completely unmaintained upstream (basically it's
a dead driver for obsolete hardware).
Therefore it makes sense to simply drop it from the archives.
[Test case]
Unfortunately we need specific hardware to prove the validity of this,
so at the moment we are unable to properly test this change.
[Fix]
Remove rtl8812au-dkms from the archives, starting with Lunar.
[Regression potential]
People that are still relying on this driver in Lunar should still be
able to use their hardware with the upstream driver, but we were not
able to test it properly, therefore they may experience networking
regressions.
