As discussed with Steve on
https://code.launchpad.net/~sergiodj/britney/+git/hints-
ubuntu/+merge/449779 and IRC (#ubuntu-release), I'm filing this bug to
request the removal of lava from the Ubuntu archive.
The software only supports being packaged in Debian (see
https://gitlab.com/lava/lava/-/blob/master/share/requires.py?ref_type=heads#L100),
so when the debian/changelog distribution is set to e.g. "mantic", it
FTBFS.
On top of that, due to the recent transition to Django 4.0 in the
archive, lava's dep8 tests are failing (see bug #2032850) and blocking
some packages from migrating (including qemu).
@racb also made a point that having such restriction in the source code
may go against the DFSG, which would justify removing the package from
Debian as well, but I'll leave that discussion to the Debian
maintainers.
** Affects: lava (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Assignee: Ubuntu Release Team (ubuntu-release)
Status: New
