You have been subscribed to a public bug by Christian Ehrhardt  (paelzer):

This package is a dependency of Sphinx 1.4, needed for it to migrate.

Availability: In Ubuntu since yakkety, arch:all.

Rationale: Sphinx 1.4 depends on it. Sphinx used to rely on PIL for
that, but Sphinx developers considered PIL too lightweight for that
purpose and wrote this small module for getting the image size.

Security: No known security history.

QA: Package is maintained by DPMT in Debian, with me as Uploader. No
known bugs, no debconf questions.

Dependencies: the only dependencies are python and setuptools, both in
main.

Maintenance: package is very simple (code is one 60 lines Python file),
almost no maintenance required.

** Affects: python-imagesize (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Fix Released
