** No longer affects: hotssh (Ubuntu)
** No longer affects: lcrt (Ubuntu)
** No longer affects: pypar2 (Ubuntu)
** No longer affects: gnoemoe (Ubuntu)
** Description changed:
NOTE
====
Debian's debian-installer (specifically cdebconf-gtk-terminal I believe) uses a udeb from the old vte package. See https://bugs.debian.org/887649
Original Bug Report
===================
The old vte source hasn't been maintained upstream since 2011 (when GNOME 3 was released). vte will be dropped from Debian Testing soon. We should not ship it in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. The replacement is provided by source vte2.91 (which requires gtk3).
- The geany-plugins will be "fixed" in Debian soon by no longer building
- them.
-
sjterm was already requested for removal in LP: #1728241
- guake's removal was requested in LP: #1739800
$ reverse-depends src:vte
