i also tried to compile gstreamer-vaapi from sources [1] and had the
message saying that GST_BASEVIDEO is missing

Timo Aaltonen (tjaalton)  : how do you know that "GST_BASEVIDEO is gone
from -plugins-bad for good" ? And is there any workaround ? Thanks!
