Please remove the debian-science source and binaries from Ubuntu and
blacklist if necessary. I stumbled across this package today as it was
blocking a package transitioning from -proposed. I believe this package
is effectively unmaintained in Debian and is just going to create a lot
of continual work in the future as other transitions are blocked.

For instance, running the make command (to update debian/control from
the package lists) from the latest Debian "release" of this package
produces this output:

Just to pick one package at random, acepack (which provides r-cran-
acepack) in the list was removed from Debian and Ubuntu in 2009. I guess
removed or unavailable packages end up getting demoted to Suggests when
the makefile is ran but the fact that there are so many discrepancies in
the package (some of which were corrected in the Ubuntu package but not
picked up by Debian) doesn't give me good feelings.
