The problem is caused by upstream using a custom script to get the
values of required variables, it is a problem in CMakeLists.txt, and now
patched to use pkg-config.

I have built the new version locally, lintian output:
$ lintian pidgin-openfetion_0.1-0ubuntu2_i386.changes 
E: pidgin-openfetion_0.1-0ubuntu2_i386 changes: bad-ubuntu-distribution-in-changes-file natty
