Public bug reported:
As outlined in the README.Debian file of the hadoop package:
Please note, that the packaging of hadoop for Debian is still work in
progress. It is not yet tested enough to work reliable in your
production critical cluster. However it is included in Debian so that
people can easily setup a hadoop cluster to learn about hadoop, test
the packaging and help improving it.
Cloudera provides higher quality and production ready hadoop packages
that can be used on Ubuntu. The Ubuntu Server team also spent time
during the maverick cycle to review and test Cloudera packages.
Thus I'm asking for the removal of the hadoop package currently in the
maverick archive as well as blacklisting it for the time being.
