You have right ! but under 10.04 my kernel ->

with ACPI (all FN and special on/off touchpad working), but in 10.10 i
can NOT !!! turn on all ACPI eg. touchpad on/off not working ... and on
generic kernel You couldn`t load eeepc_lapto = no such device hehe
