I simulated the sync and got the packages from Debian sid directly,
build them on Karmic and had them tested by Marco Filetti. He confirmed
everything works as expected.

After enabling my PPA he stated:

> The version numbers were a bit swapped around but  I did apt-get upgrade and everything worked fine!

Hopefully after the sync, this backport can be approved again and
uploaded :)
