The current situation is bad:
1) syncevolution doesn't work
2) if I patch the current version with the linked patch _and_ delete the UbuntuOne addressbook, it works
3) if I install 1.0, it works

Please decide what to do. If you find 2) is the most acceptable
solution, I will provide a debdiff in a matter of hours.
