git-core 1:1.7.0.4-1 is out and has these Debian changes over
1:1.7.0.3-1, including a fix for bug 255578:

git-core (1:1.7.0.4-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * debian/git-daemon-run.postrm: purge: don't warn if the git-daemon
    service is already removed; use -f option to userdel, on fast-purge
    the log service daemon might still run for a short time (closes:
    #575434).
  * new upstream point release.

It fixes seven bugs according to the upstream release notes:

I built and tested it at https://launchpad.net/~git-core/+archive/ppa .
