Please sync synfig 0.61.09-3 (universe) from Debian unstable (main).
Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
0.61.09-2 incorporated the Ubuntu changes. Package currently FTBFS when
rebuilt in Karmic. 0.61.09-3 fixes that.

* Add #include <cstdio> to src/synfig/time.cpp to fix FTBFS with gcc 4.4
(Closes: #504949)
