Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
Ubuntu changes (python 2.6 migration) was merged on Debian

Changelog entries since current lucid version 1.3.1-2ubuntu1:

    - updated to use PyPi, new location for tarball releases

    - let the package be compatible with Python version from 2.5 on (setting
