Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:

Debian has incorporated patch from upstream in sync with ubuntu. So the 
package can be synced.

Changelog since current jaunty version 1.1.10-1ubuntu1:

mbr (1.1.10-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Added patch from upstream, thanks to Loïc for reporting and sending
    the patch. Closes: #509285.
