The only significant remaining modification in Ubuntu was to use

JAVA_HOME_DIRS := /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk

but since java-6-openjdk is now also the preferred java in the new
Debian version of the package, it is no longer necessary to maintain the
delta.
