Please sync rjava 0.6-2-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main).
This is a new package. I will do the archive-admin bits so no need to worry
about that. I've test built the package and it's sane. Additionally,
upstream (and Debian maintainer) initially built it on Ubuntu, so I'm
confident it will work out.
I think we should add this package since it makes integration of R and Jave
significantly easier (and more Ubuntu). Since it's a new package there is no
regression risk. From upstream:
"It's super useful infrastructure for R as many other Java-using package
interface with R through it. Once rJava (== r-cran-rjava) is built /
configured -- which works out of the box with changes I ended up making to
r-base-core itself -- it is much easier for other uses to employ it. On the
other hand, with it missing, people still pull their hair and teeth to get it
We currently have a pretty complete R stack that's a good feature for Jaunty
and I'd like to round it out. Ack #1 in case anyone is wondering.
