"Builds do not work with gcc 4.3" - the gdal package in Debian doesn't
build-depend on gcc-4.2.  This is not a candidate for syncing if the
package needs to be changed to specify a non-default compiler;
unsubscribing ubuntu-archive.

(BTW, the default compiler in Debian unstable is also gcc-4.3 -- so how
does this package work there?)
