** Description changed:
Running archive-cruft-checker.py on drescher generates a list of binary
packages that are no longer built from source, but it misses some.
lp_archive at drescher:~$ m -s intrepid lib32ffi4 lib64ffi4 gcc-4.2
lib32ffi4 | 4.2.3-2ubuntu7 | intrepid/universe | amd64
lib64ffi4 | 4.2.3-2ubuntu7 | intrepid/universe | i386, powerpc, sparc
gcc-4.2 | 4.2.4-3ubuntu2 | intrepid | source, amd64, hppa, i386, ia64, lpia, powerpc, sparc
As you can see, both lib32ffi4 and lib64ffi4 used to be built from the
gcc-4.2 source package, but aren't any more.
lp_archive at drescher:~$ m -s hardy lib32ffi4 lib64ffi4 gcc-4.2
lib32ffi4 | 4.2.3-2ubuntu7 | hardy | amd64
lib64ffi4 | 4.2.3-2ubuntu7 | hardy | i386, powerpc, sparc
gcc-4.2 | 4.2.3-2ubuntu7 | hardy | source, amd64, hppa, i386, ia64, lpia, powerpc, sparc
- They were, however, built from the version of gcc-4.2, which may be why
- they don't show up.
+ They were, however, built from the version of gcc-4.2 published in
+ hardy, which may be why they don't show up.
