You have been subscribed to a public bug by Michael Bienia (geser):
Remove from jaunty
Remove binaries and source
The packages included are (and rdepends):
mas-server (none)
mas-utils (none)
libmas-dev (none)
libmas0c2 (mas-server, mas-utils, libmas-dev)
Rationale:
These packages have stagnated for many years now:
Debian doesn't have them in any development or testing branches:
http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=mas-server&searchon=names&suite=all§ion=all
Source Website:
http://www.mediaapplicationserver.net/indwexframes.html, not updated in many many years
Popcon:
#rank name inst vote old recent no-files (maintainer)
25881 mas-server 138 3 128 7 0 (David Schleef)
Also I believe the (finished) functionality has been completely replaced
by pulseaudio.
So in summary, it is unmaintained, no longer going to be looked at in
Debian, and has been superseded. I'm going to wait a few days before
subscribing the archive team, for any objections.
** Affects: mas (Ubuntu)
Importance: Wishlist
Status: Confirmed
