Please sync open-vm-tools 2008.10.10-123053-2 (multiverse) from Debian
unstable (contrib).

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
The new upstream version builds fine in Ubuntu, so the patch applied in 
the old Ubuntu version isn't needed with the new version.
