Please sync pychecker 0.8.17-9 (main) from Debian unstable (main).


Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:

Critical changes all incorporated into Debian.  The remaining difference is
trivial and not worth maintaining.

Changelog since current intrepid version 0.8.17-8ubuntu1:

pychecker (0.8.17-9) unstable; urgency=low

  * Fix FTBTS due to unit test failures (closes: #477032).
    - The following tests failed: 3, 17, 22, 34, 48, 53, 71, 77, 87, 88
    - All of these failures seem to be due to the move to Python 2.5
    - Most of the failures are benign and have a simple explanation
    - A few look to be real regressions, and I have submitted upstream
    - Tests were fixed by adding Debian-specific expected results files
