The only significant change was retaining the Build-Depends on libxext-
dev. This change has been added upstream, as can be seen from this
Debian changelog entry:

xscavenger (1.4.4-7) unstable; urgency=low

  * Add xutils-dev to Build-Depends (Closes: #485724)
  * Add libxext-dev to Build-Depends (Closes: #486977)
  * Update to policy version 3.8.0.1.
  * Add year to copyright file (based on upstream website info).

We can drop the other Ubuntu change, retaining the maintainer field.
This will allow us to safely sync this package.
